Don't Wait Until You Have Grown a Foot of Two...

The youth found out pretty quickly that they don't need to wait until they have grown a foot or two to be a missionary.  They can start now with their friends and their family.  Our bishop fireside in August treated the youth to a wide variety of speakers.  They were regaled with tales of conversion and advice from those a little bit wiser; that had been around the block a time or two.

After the start of the school year, it's nice to do a little bit of relaxing and re-centering, if you will.  Don't worry, they are still standing in Holy Places, just maybe a little more creatively now.

Finding Our Yeehaw!

So we are getting ready for the big ward BBQ tomorrow.  We did a little bit of decorating and jell-o making.  Katie does have the jell-o skills!  I'm pretty sure the poster making can be surpassed by none!  See y'all tomorrow!

Life's Just Beachy!

The beehives broke out of the 7pm routine and decided to head out to Del Mar in the morning.  I'm pretty sure everyone is glad we did!

I think everyone enjoyed the sand just as much as the water.  And no one had to be rescued by lifeguards.  I'm not sure if they all think that was a good thing.

Is It Bigger or Better?

We combined with the Young Men for a game of, Bigger, Better.  For those of you who aren't familiar, let us explain.  You start with a paperclip and go from house to house trading first your paperclip, then the next items you receive, you try to trade for a bigger or better item.  

As you can see, we got some pretty great things!

Stand Ye In Holy Places

The youth had the privilege of attending the temple in June.  What a warm and sweet spirit they bring.  I never cease to be impressed by their steadfast examples in keeping the convenants they have made with their Father in Heaven.
