Finding Our Yeehaw!

So we are getting ready for the big ward BBQ tomorrow.  We did a little bit of decorating and jell-o making.  Katie does have the jell-o skills!  I'm pretty sure the poster making can be surpassed by none!  See y'all tomorrow!

Life's Just Beachy!

The beehives broke out of the 7pm routine and decided to head out to Del Mar in the morning.  I'm pretty sure everyone is glad we did!

I think everyone enjoyed the sand just as much as the water.  And no one had to be rescued by lifeguards.  I'm not sure if they all think that was a good thing.

Some wanted to get buried, others wanted to do the burying.

Is It Bigger or Better?

We combined with the Young Men for a game of, Bigger, Better.  For those of you who aren't familiar, let us explain.  You start with a paperclip and go from house to house trading first your paperclip, then the next items you receive, you try to trade for a bigger or better item.  

As you can see, we got some pretty great things!

Stand Ye In Holy Places

The youth had the privilege of attending the temple in June.  What a warm and sweet spirit they bring.  I never cease to be impressed by their steadfast examples in keeping the convenants they have made with their Father in Heaven.

School's Out For the Summer!

With the school year coming to an end, the beehives decided to have a celebration of sorts right before Girls' Camp.  A jammie party that was full of smiles, laughter, yummy food and amazing girls!

We still love them, even if they hacked Sister Blattman's phone.

It seems that a good tree is still a great place for conversation and just plain hangin' around!

Water Baseball/Kickball

Our combined activity for July was so fun!!  Even with a lot of girls out of town, we had the best time playing our water baseball/kickball game.  Sister Cook set up little pools for each of the bases and we played mostly kickball rules with a foot in the pool to make you safe on base. 

Emma and Alyssa Baker had some serious fun trying to get either other both "out" and also as wet as possible :)

Sisters Cook and Crandall both had some serious base running moves - you gotta steer clear of all these young women!

I'm pretty sure the picture above was proof positive of when Sister Tyler (that's me :)) got her own daughter out with a dramatic and amazing move of unbelievable ball-handling prowess... or I could have missed, I can't remember?

Lindsay made sure Brooke got what she deserved when we were done with the bases .

The Beehives (see, that smile on Knesington's face :)) were the winners for sure - well, actually, we were all winners!

Of course, we had to have treats after!
